Managing the Business (Core)

This course is designed to help managers, team leaders and supervisors define their role in the business, to interpret the management function, to evaluate the management systems applied in their business and to develop key planning skills to contribute to business results.

By the end of the course participants will have a clear idea of what they should be doing as supervisors, team leaders or managers, and what they should be delegating. They will be equipped with tools for managing upwards and learn to evaluate and implement systems to get the results the business requires and plan for the longer term future.

General Course Aims:

• Develop effective management skills
• Appreciate the importance of effective communication within organisations

In order to meet the requirements for accreditation, particpants will be required to submit an Assignment, a Learner Record and a Project. The due date for all assessments to be submitted is 14 July 2011.

This is Level 6, FETAC minor award (Business Management - B30139) and a component of the Major Award Advanced Certificate in Management (BMANX).
