Conflict Management (Elective)

This course is designed to support participants to develop a greater understanding of the nature of conflict, to explore their personal conflict management style and to develop the skills needed to manage conflict successfully in the workplace. The course aims to develop among participants the skills and the confidence they need to use conflict situations to their advantage in building commitment, agreeing performance targets and encouraging collaboration.

General Course Aims: 

• Develop a greater awareness of your personal approach in dealing with conflict
• Understand how your personal approach impacts on the management of conflict
• Understand the role of conflict within organisational life
• Develop an analytical framework for understanding conflict in the workplace
• Develop strategies and skills for managing conflict in the workplace

In order to meet the requirements for accreditation, particpants will be required to submit an Assignment, a Learner Record, and a Project. The due date for all assessments to be submitted is 14 December 2011.

This is Level 6, FETAC minor award (Conflict Management - E30161) and a component of the Major Award Advanced Certificate in Management (BMANX).
