Managing Effectively: Planning & Standards

This course is designed to enable managers, team leaders and supervisors to think more strategically, consider customer needs in a strategic context, plan and set objectives, and manage change successfully.

The course will equip you with the tools and the skills to step back and see the big picture, rather than just focusing on daily operational tasks. You will also develop the know-how to translate the big picture into actions and results.

General Course Aims: 
  • Make strategic, objective and timely decisions based on analyses of all relevant available information
  • Appreciate the importance of developing quality systems and standards within an organisation
  • Develop a customer oriented quality service consistent with best practice and standards
  • Appreciate the importance of effective communication with all stakeholders in the organisation
  • Plan for and respond to the changing environmental factors in the tourism sector

    In order to meet the requirements for accreditation, particpants will be required to submit an Assignment, a Learner Record, and a Project. The due date for all assessments to be submitted is 13 October 2011.

    This is Level 6, FETAC minor award (Supervisory Management Skills - N32904) and a component of the Major Award Advanced Certificate in Management (BMANX).
